Word Builder 1 helps students construct new words with a fun initial letter/sound substitution activity. The lesson’s key short vowel phonogram word initiates the game as students build and learn how new vocabulary words are created with the exchange of letters in the initial position of a word. |
| Word Builder 2 |

Word Builder 2 focuses on building more words with final letter/sound substitutions. Students learn new short vowel vocabulary words each time the final letters are changed. |
| Word Builder 3 |

Word Builder 3 provides students with wacky typing-and-talking machines that allow students guided practice in spelling words from Word Builder 1 and 2. Students apply their phonics knowledge as they type out words to match selected pictures. |
| Word Builder 4 |

Word Builder 4 allows students to see and read the introduced words in meaningful context. Students catch word pairs; those word pairs are then instantly embedded in simple illustrated sentences. |
| Word Builder 5 |
